Voice of the People: Should Jim Calhoun return to coaching?

WTNH– Last week rumors were flying with the possibility that UConn’s Jim Calhoun might coach basketball at Boston College. This controversy had dozens of you calling in to voice your opinion. Here’s tonight’s Voice of the People.

“I’d like to comment on the Jim Calhoun speculation, Boston College, you don’t need the money, you’ve taken enough from the taxpayers. If you want to coach volunteer for your grandchildren’s sports team or church league,” said Charlie, Wallingford.

“There’s no reason he shouldn’t coach who he wants to coach, that’s what coaches do. I hope you guys can see how Coach Calhoun assets and if it can bring Boston and the Huskies together….because he’s Coach Calhoun,” said Tanya, Norwich.

“Jim Calhoun has always been a recruiter for the NBA. He left his team, no use for him going to Boston College…traitor!” said Gary, North Haven.

“I’d like to express my opinion on Coach Calhoun, my son graduated from B.C. and he would be a great asset to the school. I think he’d get the program underway,” said Russ, Old Lyme.
