Police release video of strip club shooting

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Waterbury police Wednesday posted a video on YouTube that shows surveillance footage of a shooting at a local strip club over the weekend.

Police say 29 shots were fired in the incident early Saturday at Pandora’s Cabaret on Washington Avenue. Miraculously, no one was seriously injured.

“If you watch the video (embedded above) … shots are flying every which way,” deputy police chief Chris Corbett told WTNH. “It’s amazing only three people were hit with minor injuries.”

Police believe 32-year-old Javier Vasquez, whose last known address was in Stratford, fired most of the shots. While he remains at large, police say they’re looking to identify two more shooters.

“There were multiple handguns used,” police say in the YouTube video. “The Waterbury Police Department Detective Bureau is investigating and is attempting to identify the following individuals displayed in this video.”

Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting or suspects to contact them at the email or phone numbers at the end of the video.
