Lorenzo Hernandez was arrested by Manchester police March 27, 2014.

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Manchester Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for severely beating another man at the Manchester Inn.

Police arrested Lorenzo Hernandez Thursday, charging him with First Degree Assault and First Degree Burglary.

Police say on March 25, they responded to a call at the Manchester Inn at 100 East Center Street, after a house cleaner found an unconscious man who had apparently been assaulted in a room that he had rented.

Investigators came to the conclusion Hernandez was responsible for the attack. Police say it was not random, and the victim and Hernandez knew each other.

Hernandez was held on $500,000 bond and was stood before a judge on Friday.
