HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — With the open enrollment deadline looming, organizations across Connecticut are helping people sign up for health insurance coverage.
Health centers in Bridgeport, East Hartford, Hartford, New Haven, Norwalk, Norwich, Waterbury and Willimantic are offering additional in-person help over the final days. People in Connecticut have until midnight on Monday to sign up for insurance and avoid a federal tax penalty.
Residents who do not have health coverage can shop and compare plans at www.accesshealthct.com , the state’s health insurance marketplace. Also, they can contact Access Health CT’s call center at 1-855-805-HEALTH (4325). The call center’s staff has quadrupled in size since open enrollment began in October.
Representatives will be available Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to midnight.
