Man threatens & assaults restaurant employees

The individual that is wanted for the assault and threatening at the TGI Fridays in Hamden.

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)–Police responded to a Hamden restaurant Monday, after a man threatened and assaulted employees.

Police say around 2:30 PM, a man entered the TGI Fridays at 23335 Dixwell Avenue and confronted an employee. The manager of the restaurant then intervened and convinced the suspect to leave.

The man then made a gun gesture with his hand and announced he was going to kill the employee he confronted. When the manager attempted to contact police, the suspect assaulted him by punching him in the face.

The man fled in a blue minivan towards Skiff Street.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the incident is asked to contact police at (203) 230-4030.
