STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — Stamford officials say four people were treated for smoke inhalation as a fire damaged two boats at a marina and sent smoke toward Interstate 95.

Authorities say no one was seriously hurt in Wednesday night’s fire at the docks of Stamford Yacht Charters. Firefighters say the blaze started on the docks and damaged a 45-foot power boat and a small sail boat.

Crews with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection were called to the marina to clean up about 400 gallons of fuel that spilled into Stamford Harbor.

Fire officials say they’ll return to the marina Thursday morning to evaluate the damage and investigate the cause.
