STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — About 8,000 Huskies fans packed into UConn’s Gampel Pavilion to watch the men move into the NCAA championship game.
According to UConn police, about 20 arrests were made.
“The Storrs campus was active this evening, as we expected, with a large crowd of UConn fans celebrating tonight’s big win,” Chief of Police Barbara O’Connor said in a statement. “I’m pleased to say the vast majority of our students have been both respectful and responsible. As of 10:30pm, there have been relatively few arrests. UConn Police and State Police will continue to be engaged on campus throughout the night.”
