NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– State and federal courthouses in New Haven, Danbury, Hartford, and several others were searched Wednesday, due to a bomb threat.
Elm and Church Streets by the New Haven courthouse were blocked off by police during the search after the call came in around 10:30 AM. The roads has since been reopened.
The threat was not specific to any particular courthouse.
Surrounding areas were searched for suspicious packages but none were found.
Court proceedings were not affected because no courthouse was evacuated.
