Farmington Police investigate armed robbery at gas station

FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) – Police responded to a call of an armed robbery Sunday at the Scott’s Line Town Mobil on Main Street in Farmington at 10 P.M. With the assistance of Plainville Police, officers secured the area and began their investigation.

The store clerk heard someone enter the store while he was sweeping and saw a male point a black hand gun at his face demanding money from the register. The clerk retrieved the money and handed it over to the male. The suspect took the money and ran off on foot on Rte 10 southbound toward Plainville.

Officers investigated this area with Farmington K-9 unit tracking Rte 10, but eventually losing the track in the area of Pequabuck Lane.  Farmington Detectives responded and processed the scene.

The suspect was described by the store clerk as a 6’2″ tall male, wearing a long sleeve black shirt and black gloves with a grey shirt wrapped around his face. The suspect is said to have brown skin, possibly Hispanic or Middle-Eastern, with black eye brows and brown eyes.

Store Management was unable to retrieve the video of the incident overnight and will provide the video to investigators on Monday.

A reported $567.00 was stolen during the robbery.
