NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH)– Several rolls of paper fell out onto I-95 in Norwalk after two tractor trailer trucks collided, Tuesday morning.
Police say they responded to an accident on I-95 Northbound between exits 16 and 17 around 5 AM.
A tractor trailer, carrying twenty bundles of rolled paper weighing 2, 400 pounds each, struck another tractor trailer that was parked on the right shoulder before the entrance ramp.
The trailer then split open from the crash which caused it to buckle under the weight of the paper. The tractor trailer then came to rest under the Strawberry Hill Avenue Bridge when several rolls of paper, weighing up to 600 pounds, fell out.
Police moved some of the cargo to free up the lanes so traffic could continue to move.
The driver that was parked on the shoulder was taken to Norwalk Hospital for minor injuries.
