ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH)– A 73-year-old Woodbridge man forced his way into his neighbor’s home and shot him on Sunday morning.
Ansonia police say around 9:15 AM, they responded to 97R Woodbridge Avenue for the report of a dispute with a handgun between neighbors. There police found the 39-year-old victim bleeding profusely from his lower leg. He told police that he had been shot by his neighbor, Steven Sentementes, who was also at the residence.
Police learned that Sentementes forced his way into the the victim’s home, engaged in a dispute with the victim, then shot him what appeared to be three times. The victim was struck in the buttocks, left leg and right calf area. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Sentementes was charged with assault, burglary with a firearm, reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge. He was held on $500,000 bond.
