BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman are holding a special community forum to talk to senior citizens.
The two Democrats, who recently announced they’re seeking a second term in office, are scheduled to hold a community forum with seniors in Bloomfield on Tuesday. It will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Bloomfield Senior Center.
Malloy’s office said the event will be an opportunity for the governor and Wyman “to discuss their agenda for the future” with state residents. In particular, Malloy plans to talk about the state’s finances and his efforts to increase the state’s minimum wage and make higher education more affordable — likely to be key issues in his re-election campaign.
Malloy and Wyman have periodically scheduled community meetings around Connecticut.
