NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police revealed more information about the arrest of a third teenager who police say shot one teenager dead and left another critically injured.

It’s a story News 8 has been following since shots first rang out at the intersection of Lilac and Butler Streets in New Haven nearly one month ago.

Last week, 18-year-old Jeffrey Covington was arrested in the shooting death of 17-year-old Taijhon Washington. He’s also charged with injuring Washington’s half brother, Travon Washington.

News 8’s Kent Pierce was there with what the Chief of Police and family members said at the press conference held at police headquarters.
