Toddler emerges unharmed after being stuck in storm drain

STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH)–A Stamford toddler is recovering tonight after falling in a storm drain over the weekend. Police say the 18-month-old was out walking with his mother on Saturday when he fell in *the storm drain.

According to officials the drain cracked and the child fell in.

His father tried to get him out but couldn’t.

Officials arrived a short time later and lifted the child to safety.

He cut his forehead when he fell and was taken to the hospital as a safety precaution.

News 8 was told he is doing OK.
