21-year-old killed in utility pole crash

PORTLAND, Conn. (WTNH)– A 21-year-old woman was killed after crashing her car into a utility pole in Portland, early Sunday.

Police say they responded to a car accident on Portland-Cobat Road (Rt. 66) around 5:15 AM. A preliminary investigation showed that a Kia Spectra was traveling eastbound when it struck a utility pole east of the intersection.

The driver, Jennifer Wall, of East Hampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
