Microsoft store

WTNH– There’s a new warning if you are using a windows computer. You may want to stop using the windows web browser internet explorer for a while because of a big security hole.

Microsoft says it has found a security gap in Internet Explorer that could let hackers take control of your computer if you click on a shady web link.

Microsoft is working on a fix and will have a software update at some point but it’s not clear yet when.

In the meantime, Microsoft is telling people to use a computer firewall and make sure your anti virus software is up to date.

If you are a windows user, the safest thing you can probably do for now is use another web browser. There are a bunch of options out there and they are easy to download and install.

Some of the most popular options Firefox and Chrome are easy. For more information on web browsers go to  http://download.cnet.com/windows/web-browsers/.
