Man, 25, shot in New Haven


NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A 25-year-old man was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex Friday night.

Darryl Tyson was listed in critical but stable condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital late Friday, police said.

Police said the shooting, reported at 8:20 p.m., occurred in the parking lot of Georgetown Apartments at 241 Quinnipiac Ave. A 911 caller reported gunfire and a man down, police said.

Reporter Keldy Ortiz of the New Haven Register reported that the male was shot in the lower left back.

Police could not immediately provide a description of the suspect or vehicle. The department is asking anyone with information on the shooting to call detectives at 203-946-6304.
