NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH)– A Norwich man was arrested Sunday for breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulting her.

Police say they responded to a home on the Westside section of Norwich around 8:38 AM to a domestic violence complaint that occurred over night.

It was then learned that 26-year-old Devan Tyrell Jarmon had entered his former girlfriend’s home without her consent and then assaulted her. He then remained in the home before fleeing once police were called.

There were also minors in the home during the incident.

Police later located Jarmon on Shipping Street.  He was charged with home invasion, strangulation, assault, risk of injury and disorderly conduct.

He is being held on $100,000 bond.
