HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A vandal scrawled graffiti at a playground dedicated to one of the Sandy Hook school shooting victims, but a day later the mess has been cleared away.

The playground at Elizabeth Park in Hartford is in memory of Anna Grace Marquez-Greene.

The damage was reported Sunday morning. Only the sign was vandalized, and the words read “Peace To Sandy Hook.”

Monday morning, Hartford police Deputy Chief Brian Foley tweeted the graffiti has already been cleaned.

Police are still looking for the person to tagged the sign.
