HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police Friday arrested a 16-year-old boy for the stabbing of a student at Bulkeley High School in Hartford.

The suspect is a culinary student at Hartford’s Weaver High School who was under suspension at the time of the stabbing, police said.

The victim, a 15-year-old sophomore, was stabbed Wednesday afternoon outside the school during a “mutual” fight with the suspect, police said. He is recovering in the hospital.

On Thursday, there was a heavier police presence at Bulkeley, and police today planned to have additional officers at Weaver.
