Two people shot in New Haven


NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police are investigating a double shooting on the intersection of Daisy Street and Gem Street.

Police say two people were shot. When police arrived, they found Frager Thomas, 35 of New Haven, suffering from a gunshot wound in the face. They also found his cousin, Damar Thomas, 21 of New Haven, suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

The victims told police they were shot by three men as they walked on Daisy Street. One of those men allegedly fired several shots at the victims, hitting them both. Police say the perpetrator(s) then fled on foot in different directions. Police do not believe robbery was the motive for the shooting.

The victims were transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital. Their injuries are non-life threatening.
