Bicyclists struck by car in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Two women bicyclists were struck by a car in Fairfield Tuesday in the area of Stratfield Road and Suburban Avenue, police said.

The women, both in their 20s, were conscious and talking on scene, police said. One of the bicyclists went over the vehicle and the other was temporarily pinned under the car, according to police.

Both women were transported to Bridgeport Hospital. The extent of injuries are not known at this time.
