NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was taken into police custody Friday night after he allegedly broke a garage door window at the Norwalk fire station on Van Zant Street.

Norwalk deputy fire chief Stephen Shay said firefighters were alerted to the noise about 11 p.m. Friday. Firefighters restrained the man, who had “deep cuts on his arm after he fell on the glass,” Shay said.

Police then cuffed the man and an ambulance brought him to Norwalk Hospital, Shay said. A motive is not yet known.
