NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– It’s graduation day at Yale.
Students describe this day as bittersweet but are looking forward to new opportunities.
Some graduates News 8 talked with already have jobs lined up in New Haven, others are venturing out of the state in hopes of someday returning.
“I have a job lined up as a nurse practitioner in critical care at Yale New Haven hospital,” said Christopher Norman. Masters of Science and Nursing.”I met a lot of great people here. I’m leaving and I’m feeling like I have a lot of great colleagues in a lot of different areas, the professional network is wonderful and I made a lot of good friends.”
Monday’s commencement is the first presided over by President Peter Salovey, who is completing his first academic year on the job.
