Shooting investigation in Simsbury

SIMSBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Simsbury police investigating the shooting of a 20-year-old man in a condo complex parking lot say the victim may be acquainted with the person who shot him.

The investigation is at the Wolcott Woods Condominiums. Someone called 911 just before 11:30 Monday night and reported a man had been shot. The victim was found in the parking lot.

“Officers arrived and immediately provided medical attention to a 20 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body area,” police said in a news release. He now at the hospital recovering from his injury.

The victim doesn’t live at the complex, police said. They’re now trying to figure out why he was there, and find the triggerman. Police say the public is not in danger.
