NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — A New Britain couple is accused of sexually abusing a young girl more than 200 times over a three-year span and forcing her to watch them have sex.

The New Britain Herald reports the allegations are detailed in a recently released warrant charging Elisa Ortega with first-degree sexual assault and employing a minor in an obscene performance. Ortega’s former boyfriend, Stephen Dimauro, is facing similar charges.

The victim, now 23, says the abuse occurred between 1998 and 2001, when she was between 8 and 10-years old. She came to police four years ago, prompting an investigation that led to the arrests late last month.

Ortega is being held on a $75,000 bond. Dimauro is free after posting bond. Attempts to reach him for comment Thursday were not successful. There is no listed phone number for his address in New Britain.
