Man found shot in apartment building

A man was shot multiple times in this apartment building on Evergreen Ave. in Hartford, May 22, 2014.

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police are investigating the shooting of a man who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in an apartment building hallway.

The shooting happened at 31 Evergreen Ave. around 10:50 Thursday night.

The victim, identified as Tyrone Huggins, 31, was taken to St. Francis Hospital. Police said he is in “critical and unstable condition” and his relatives have been notified.

Huggins had also been stabbed.

Deputy Chief. Brian Foley said in a statement that Huggins was involved in an altercation behind the building, and that this may crime may be drug related.
