In the Kitchen: Blueberry & Walnut Smoothie

WTNH– Fit Pro and Wellness Author Ellen Barrett talks eating right for women and shows us how to make a perfect breakfast option, a Blueberry and Walnut Smoothie.

Ellen Barrett is best known as the creator of dozens of best-selling workout DVDs, including Prevention magazine’s Flat Belly Diet series. She is also author of a women’s wellness book, “The 28 Days Lighter Diet.”

Blueberry and Walnut Smoothie Recipe from” 28 Days Lighter Diet”:

Ingredients:
2 cups blueberries
½ cup walnuts
1 tablespoon coconut oil
4+ ice cubes
Optional: (1/2 coconut or almond milk)

Put all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
