NORTH BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Rick Morgan says he’s a handyman.
Morgan says the wood, old tires, disabled cars and general trash scattered about his Sunnyside Drive property are all for various ongoing projects.
But neighbors want it cleaned up, saying the untidy lawn brings down property values in the North Branford neighborhood. They brought their complaints to the town in April. So far though, nothing’s been done.
Morgan, a Vietnam veteran, says his wife has had three strokes and taking care of her takes up a lot of his time. He acknowledges, though, that a blighted property can lead to trouble.
“I understand that I might be brought to court,” he says. “I might be fined.”
