Bride under fire for dragging daughter down the aisle

Jackson, Tenn. (WTNH) — We’re all familiar with the saying “Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.” But a woman in Tennessee is stirring up controversy for something new she did at her wedding.

Shona Carter-Brooks attached her newborn daughter to the train of her wedding dress and dragged her down the aisle as she was headed to the altar.

The dress, which Carter-Brooks said on Facebook is Vera Wang and was purchased at David’s Bridal, appears to have been altered to fit the one-month-old girl.

Some angry commenters on Facebook felt she should be reported to child services.

But, Carter-Brooks defended her decision in another Facebook post, saying her daughter was “awake and well-secured” during the whole thing.
