WTNH– Celebrity Chef Maneet Chauhan shows us how to make Malai Chicken Sliders and talks about a fundraiser for a brain cancer victim.
Chauhan is a Food Network Celebrity Chef and is a Chopped judge.
The fundraiser will be held on June 10th at Cafe Allegre in Madison and it will raise money for Brian Dimetres. The cost is $95 a person and you can make reservations by calling (203) 245-7773.

Malai Chicken Sliders (Indian spiced chicken pattie, mango ketchup):
2 lbs ground lean chicken or lean turkey
1 tbsp garlic grated
1 tbsp ginger grated
¼ cup non fat Greek yogurt
2 small red onions chopped
4 tbsp tandoori masala
2 jalapeno’s grated (optional)
½ cup chopped mint
½ cup chopped cilantro
¼ cup chopped ginger
1 tsp kastoori methi (optional)
2 egg whites, well beaten
Granny Smith apple slices pickled in apple cider
Multigrain bread or flat-breads
1. Mix all the ingredients for the chicken patties thoroughly. Form patties and sear on both
sides. Cook until done.
2. Sear the slider bun’s in butter, add non fat greek yogurt, top with romaine lettuce, a
chicken pattie, 1 slice pickled Granny Smith apple..
3. Serve with a side of Mango ketchup
2 cup ketchup
½ cup mango pulp
½ tsp kashmiri chili powder
½ cup brunoised mango
Mix all the ingredients.
