Bristol school evacuated due to bomb threat


BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH)– A Bristol school was evacuated this afternoon after a note was found indicating a bomb was set to go off in the building.

Police say they responded to Northeast Middle School at 530 Stevens Street at 12:34 PM after a student found the bomb threat note.

Students and faculty were evacuated from the building while police searched the immediate area. The State Police Bomb Squad was also on scene to investigate.

School administrators then made the decision to let students go home early for the day. They notifed parents and students were taken home by bus.

No one was injured. The incident remains under investigation.
