Bridgeport man nabbed after police chase

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man was arrested Wednesday after police said he led them on a chase following a traffic stop on I-95 northbound around exit 18.

Nelson Rivera, 35, faces a laundry list of charges, including criminal attempt at assault on an officer, possession of narcotics, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Rivera’s bond was set at $10,000. He is scheduled to appear in court June 11.
