Man assaulted during robbery in Old Saybrook

OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) — Two men are due in court today on multiple charges related to an assault and robbery.

Police say, 18-year-old Joshua Griswold and 23-year-old Michael Lawhorn are accused of attacking a man who refused to give them his guns. The incident was reported just before 2 o’clock yesterday morning.

The 50-year-old victim went to Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Center with serious injuries.

Both Griswold and Lawhorn are being held on $100,000 bond. They’re facing multiple charges including assault and strangulation.
