Hundreds lose power in East Lyme, Lyme

(WTNH) — Hundreds of Connecticut Light & Power customers are without power right now in the East Lyme, Lyme, Essex area of the state.

As of noon, 555 customers had no electricity.

The hardest hit was East Lyme, where nearly three-quarters of the town lost power.

A spokesman for CL&P told News 8 wires came down at two sub-stations. They don’t know what caused the wires to come down.

There was no estimate on when repairs would be made.
