Man shot in reported Montville home invasion

MONTVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Montville are looking for the two suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion.

It happened at a house on Maple Avenue.

Police say when they arrived on the scene, they found one of the homeowners with a gun shot wound to the back. The man told police, that two masked men came into his house, hit him in the head and forced him in the kitchen. The victim says when he tried to run, that’s when he was shot in the back.

He was taken to Backus Hospital where he is expected to recover.

There was also a female resident in the home. She was not injured.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information, is asked to call State Police at 860-848-6500.
