Suspect sought in East Lyme armed robbery

EAST LYME, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are searching for the man who robbed an East Lyme consignment shop at knife point on Saturday evening.

State police say they responded to The Whimsical Consignment Shop at 18 Pennsylvania Avenue around 6:09 PM after learning the store was robbed.

It was reported that a man entered the store and displayed a knife before demanding money from the store clerk. He left with undisclosed amount of cash and was later seen leaving the area on a motorcycle.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a bright blue hooded sweatshirt, shorts and a dark colored bandanna over his face.

The incident is under investigation by the State Police Major Crime Detectives.
