Hartford Man Arrested For Stealing Diesel Fuel

South Windsor, Conn. (WTNH) – South Windsor police arrested a 51-year-old man over the weekend, on charges he was stealinf diesel fuel from trucks along Rye Street.

Police say Felix Ortiz was caught on surveillance video early Sunday morning.  Police were monitoring the cameras as part of an undercover investigation, after reports that a business was missing hundreds of gallons of fuel.  Ortiz was arrested, and is now facing charges of Criminal Attempt to Commit Larceny in the Sixth degree, Criminal Trespass in the Second degree, and Operating a Motor Vehicle When License is Suspended.\

Ortiz was released on $5,000.00 bond, and is due back in court next week.
