Help needed to find stolen wheelchair

Vernon police are asking for help in locating this custom wheelchair that was stolen June 8, 2014.

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — Vernon Police are looking for the public’s help in finding a stolen wheelchair.

It was taken from the outside of a bowling alley. On Sunday, police responded to Spare Time Bowling, located at 350 Talcottville Road, for a report of a stolen wheelchair.

The victim told police the wheelchair was left outside the main entrance around 10p.m., and when they went outside to go get it about two hours later, it was gone.

The orange “Quickie” brand wheelchair was made custom for the victim. It wis worth about $3,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Ethan Roberge #256 at (860)872-9126 ext. 256.
