Arrest made in Bridgeport stabbing

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)– An arrest was made Monday in a weekend robbery in Bridgeport that left a man with multiple stab wounds and a collapsed lung.

Police say the attack victim was located in the area of Main and Lumber Streets with stab wounds to his head, face and chest, which collapsed his lung.

Detectives were able to identify the suspect as 28-year-old Jorge Valle. The victim then also identified him from a photographic lineup.

Police later arrested Valle at his workplace.

Valle was charged with assault, robbery and carrying a dangerous weapon. His bond was set at $250,000.

Police say Valle was released four months ago from incarceration and is on probation.
