Manslaughter arrest made in South Windsor tree crash

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH)– A 24-year-old South Windsor man was arrested on manslaughter charges Monday after a drunk driving accident that left his passenger dead in February.

Police say they responded to a car crash on Hillside Drive on February 2nd, where they discovered a car, driven by Adam Lincoln, had left the roadway and struck a tree.

The impact killed his 25-year-old male passenger and seriously injured another passenger.

An investigation revealed that Lincoln had a blood alcohol content of .171 at the time and had been traveling faster than the 25 MPH speed limit when he hit the tree.

Lincoln was charged with manslaughter in the second degree with a motor vehicle, assault with a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, traveling unreasonably fast, and failure to maintain proper lane.

He was held on $250,000 bond.
