Charged with using counterfeit cash

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn (WTNH) — South Windsor police have arrested the man accused of using counterfeit money.

Police say 27-year-old Kamarv Whetson of the Bronx, was arrested on charges for Forgery in the First Degree and Larceny in the Sixth Degree on an outstanding arrest warrant.

According to officials, Whetson used $340.00 in counterfeit money to make a purchase at a store on Buckland Hills Drive. The report was made hours after his purchase, but it was all caught on surveillance.

He is being held on $10,000.00 surety bond.
