Man shot in chest in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A man in his mid-40s was shot once in the chest Wednesday inside a New Haven home, police said.

The man, whose identity and condition is unknown at this time, was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for surgery, police said. He was listed in critical condition late Wednesday.

Some eight New Haven police cruisers responded to the shooting, which was reported at about 5 p.m. Wednesday. Officers could be seen going in and out of a house on Frank St., the home in the photo below.
