HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Hartford officials say it’s lucky no one was hurt when a 20th floor window of a downtown office tower fell out and smashed on the ground.
Authorities say it appears high winds blew out the window of the former Bank of America building on Main Street on Sunday morning. Police closed off roads surrounding the 26-story building as inspectors investigated the problem.
It’s not clear if people were inside the building when the window fell, or if the accident was related to renovation work.
Developers are converting the building from office space into apartments and retail shops.
