KFC under fire for asking scarred girl to leave

Jackson, Miss. (WTNH) — A family is outraged after an employee at a KFC reportedly told their three-year-old daughter she needed to leave. They said her face “scared diners.”

Victoria Wilcher was attacked by three pit bulls a few weeks ago. She suffered severe injuries, including a broken jaw, her nose, her cheekbones, and her right eye socket. Victoria also lost her right eye, and has already undergone multiple surgeries.

Her grandmother said she’d taken Victoria in that KFC for a snack. According to her, the employee said, “We have to ask you to leave because her face is disrupting our customers.”

A post about the incident that appeared on Victoria’s Facebook support page, “Victoria’s Victories,” got shared over 2,000 times.

KFC has since launched an investigation into the matter.

According to ABC News, they’re giving $30,000 to Victoria and her family to help pay her medical bills.
