Preventing Summer Jobs Scams

WTNH– Executive Communications Director Howard Schwartz from the Connecticut Better Business Bureau gives tips for preventing employment scams.

At this time of year, students join the pool of Americans looking for a job. Job-seekers beware, some would-be employers are fake and they are out to get you.

To Avoid Summer Job Scams:
•    If you didn’t apply – verify
•    Be careful with “re-shipping” job offers
•    Watch out for incentive payments
•    Meet face to face
