Police say the shooting happened when the suspect was getting cigarettes from Turner. Turner told police he was talking with the teenager, when the teen got mad, grabbed a knife and came at him. Turner told police he took the knife from the suspect, but as the teen left the house, he fired a gun, hitting Turner.

Police arrested the teenager at the hospital, where he was being treated, because he was under the influence of drugs.
