Keeping cool at the Travelers Championship

CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — Medics at the annual Travelers Championship golf tourney in Cromwell said Wednesday that they had some 50 different cases of people trying to get in touch with them.

It’s hot, it’s humid, and if you’re attending the golf tournament this week — or plan on spending anytime outside — you need to beware of heat stress or heat stroke.

Symptoms include: slurred speech, confusion/dizziness, headache, chills, sweating.

It helps to drink as much water as possible.
