NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A New Haven man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for distributing drugs.

35-year-old Michael Thompson was sentenced for distributing cocaine, crack cocaine and oxycodone.

Thompson is one of more than 100 individuals charged as a result of “Operation Bloodline,” a joint law enforcement investigation targeting narcotics trafficking and gang violence in the Dwight-Kensington and Fair Haven sections of New Haven.

Back in December, Thompson was found guilty on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, 280 grams or more of crack cocaine and a large amount of oxycodone.
