Man arrested for Modern Apizza burglary

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police Thursday arrested a serial criminal for a theft last week at Modern Apizza.

Forty-year-old Jonathan Leroy Moore confessed to the break-in and also admitted to entering Portofino’s, which is also on Upper State Street, police said.

Moore is a convict whose rap sheet includes arrests for robbery, burglary, larceny and threatening. The New Haven man is currently on parole out of Waterbury, according to police.

Moore will be charged pending the completion of similar burglary investigations in the area, police said.
